Polish press photographer won a festival in Perpignan
Polish press photographer Wojciech Grzędziński has won a mine prize of press photography festival "Vision of a picture" in Perpignan - French media inform.
He was given an award for his photo story of war in Georgia.
29 years old photographer, co-owner of Napo Images agency, became a Golden Visa in "news" category - the most prestigious category of Perpignan Festival, which is considered to be one of the most important press photography festivals in the world.
His winning photo story showed the tragedy and suffering of civilians stuck in the middle of Georgian- Russian conflict. The same material had won a third award during World Press Photo. It was not the first war story made by the Pole. He also went to Iraq, Afghanistan, Lebanon and Gaza zone.
