Polish volleyball team in semi-final of European Championships
Polish volleyball team beat Spain and Slovakia in second round of final tournament in Slovakia what gave a qualification to semi-final of the championships.
Both matches were quite dramatic but Poles were able to win 3-2 in tie-breaks. Turkish tournament is successful for Polish team because we won all matches what shows that our team is very strong and may win a medal. Semi – final will not be so easy because will probably play with Russia or Bulgaria which seem to be very strong as well. Our national team plays without best and key players like: Mariusz WlazĹ‚y, MichaĹ‚ Winiarski and Sebastian Ĺšwiderski.
The best player of the game against Slovakia was MichaĹ‚ BÄ…kiewicz who scored many important points. He said – “I do not what happened in fourth set. We should forget about it and focus on the semi-final. Our team is strong so I believe we can win this tournament”. Today Poland finishes second stage of the tournament playing with Greece.
