XIX Economic Forum in Krynica
Yesterday a XIXth edition of Economic Forum has started in Krynica. This event gathered 900 participants in 140 panels. More than 2000 guests are expected to join. The Forum will end on 12th September.
Inauguration session titled „European Solidarity. 20 years after revolution”, which was dedicated to European solidarity during the financial crisis. It had many prominent participants including former Polish President Aleksander Kwaśniewski, the Head of the European Parliament Jerzy Buzek, Ireland’s European Affairs Minister Dick Roche and former Prime Minister of Spain Jose Maria Nazar.
All debates during this forum are sorted into theme panels: macroeconomic, business and management, energetic, European Union and its neighbors, Regional Forum, Non governmental organizations, science and culture, investments, economic growth.
Participants represent over 60 countries form Europe, Asia and America. Poland will be represented by politicians: vice Prime Minister Waldemar Pawlak, Teasury Minister Aleksander Grad and Prime Minister’s Advisor Michał Boni. Also Lech Wałęsa announced he will come to this Forum.
Also well known scientists are going to take part in this event. Most prominent of them are Nobel prize winner from Columbia University Edmund Phelps and Norman Davies form Oxford University.
Also MP’s from Hungary, Russia, Germany, UK, Sweden and European Parliament are expected to come. The panels will also include speeches of advisors form such companies as Ernst&Young, KPMG or Deloitte.
