New airport for Warsaw

According to Associated Press the decision about an Airport in Modlin (40 km from Warsaw) has been made. The airport must be ready before Euro 2012 Football Tournament that will be hosted in Poland and Ukraine.
According to Warsaw’s local government spokesperson Mrs Biały, the governor Jacek Kozłowski has approved the plan and given money to build an airport. It was designed to help service all the planes during Euro 2012 that would have to land at Okręcie Airport otherwise. This investment will cost around 100 million Euros.
The critics of this project point out however, that 100 million Euro for an object that has uncertain future after the Football Tournament is a very high price.
