Doctors earn the most in Poland
Doctors are the best earning professional in Poland - claims daily "Gazeta Prawna".
According to new Payroll list 2009 doctors have overtaken lawyers to become the best earning professional group in Poland. Specialists with experience can earn couple of hundred thousand złoty. However thay work much more than 40 hours a week.
According to experts form "Medicine Puls", the income of doctors that are 2nd degree consultants has doubled in last 3 years and 1st degree consultants earn 120 per cent more than 3 years ago.
According to Ministry of Health data, the income of senior registrar in May 2009 was 10 284 złoty per month (2.3 thousand Euro) on average, 2nd degree consultant had 7203 złoty (1.6 thousand Euro), and 1st degree consultant earned 6442 złoty (1.4 thousand Euro). Even General Practitioners did very well getting on average 5301 złoty (1.2 thousand Euro).
