BMW announced that Qadbak Investments would be the new owner of F1 team. The company from the Middle East who represents interests of several smaller companies has its main office in Europe.

The announcement given by BMW coincided with an announcement of FIA which informed that LOTUS would be 13th F1 team in 2010/2011 season. Federation Internationale de l’Automobile wanted to be sure that there would be enough teams. It was also possible that German team from Hinwill would be out of F1 Grand Prix. But it seems that thanks to BMW’s decision there will be 14 teams next season. FIA is being in talks with other teams, because each team has to agree for 28 cars in 2010 season.
