Poland for gourmets
Our country, especially in the middle part of our country is real paradise for those who love delicious food. It is really hard to find similar place with so fantastic preserves.
If someone decides to spend autumn holiday in central Poland he will not regret this decision. Tourists may easily rest in peace and quiet and taste local preserves. The region of Świecie is famous for annual making preserves. Local plum jams are made by housewives, based on XVIIIth century recipe. Maybe that is the main reason of their wonderful taste. They are the speciality of a region and have already been put on a list of traditional products.
Local people organize many interesting parties, like citizens of Nebrowo (near Grudziądz). They invite for a “Holiday of Nebrowo Preservations”. The event will be very interesting and attractive for whole families. Everyone will take part in funny contests like: jumping in bags, throwing balloons filled with water or solving rebus.
