Poland wins CO2 dispute with Brussels

The First Instance Court in Luxemburg made a judgment that declared European Commission decision concerning carbon dioxide limits as null and void. It is a great victory of Poland.
In the justification of their decisions judges wrote that the European Commission had gone beyond its competence by ignoring data given by the Polish government and cutting emission quota proposed by Warsaw by 26.7 per cent. European Commission gave a limit of just 208.5 million tons of annual carbon dioxide emission in years 2008-2012 and Polish government expected a limit of 284.6 million tons.
