Warsaw Film Festival
Nearly 250 films from 57 countries will be seen during 25th edition of Warsaw Film Festival (October 9th – 18th). There are also Polish films, like “Rewers” by Borys Lankosz (awarded in Gdynia), “Dom zły” by Wojciech Smarzowski or “Zero” by Paweł Borowski (favourite of critic).
The schedule of this year festival seems to be very rich and interesting so the organizers decided to divide all films into seven sections, five competition sections and two noncompetition ones. Each section may be seen in different festival cinemas what should be helpful for all quests. Besides those film performances, there will also take place special family weekend in ZŁote Tarasy Multikino. On October 17th and 18th whole families (parents and their children) will have chance to take part in special shows for them. All presented films will try to win the main award given by the audience.
As every year there will be prepared many other events, like workshops or fair so everyone has chance to find something interesting. The most interesting should be FIPRESCI Warsaw Project workshop for professional journalists – Talent Show on October 12th-18th and “The art of Editing” for those who are interested in director’s cut and editing (October 14th). Also a music concert of The Festival Band, which is famous of giving concerts during film festivals, should attract many quests (Palladinum Hall, October 16th).
