Film about killed Pole appropriated in Canada

This film has not already been finished, but its project was appropriated by foreign audience. The project of “The Immigrants” is based on a true story of Polish citizen, killed in Vancouver by Canadian police. The project was shown during the prestigious fair – “Strategic Partners”.
There were shown 15 projects, but only one came from Poland. “The Immigrants” was also shown in Toronto during the film festival. The film of Dariusz Jabłoński and Krzysztof Łukasiewicz is being shot in cooperation with many famous Canadian producers, Robert Dziekański’s (A Pole killed at Vancouver air port) mother and his lawyer. Polish directors used shorthand texts given by the police and witnesses.
