Two Polish soldiers are dead, four are wounded. That is the result of an improvised bomb explosion under the truck, where Poles were traveling in Afghanistan. The explosives were hidden in a road.

Two dead soldiers were identified as private Radosław Szyszkiewicz and private Szymon Graczyk. They were both soldiers of 5th Polish Army Contingent in Afghanistan. In Poland they were part of 5th engineering regiment in Szczecin.

The attack took place in Wardak Province, between Ghanzi and Bagram bases. Poles traveled on Highway 1, which is considered to be the most important road in Afghanistan. The bomb exploded on 2 p.m. Polish time. The truck was completely destroyed. Soldiers were supposed to transport faulty equipment to be repaired in Bagram and to take supplies back to Ghanzi.
