Very strong wind and intensive snowfalls and rains appeared in Poland, especially its north-west part. The strong gale made many troubles for example in Elbląg where several thousand of citizens had no electricity. The city is also threatened with flooding from the Wiślany Lagoon.

Not only Elbląg is dealing with the weather. Also Warsaw and Masuria region (Ełk, Giżycko, Olecko, Gołdap) are trying to overcome all problems caused by storms and wind. There are many fallen trees which damaged power lines and many cars. Ełk, Mikołajki, Augustów, Bielsko Podlaskie, Hajnówka and Siemiatycz are without electricity (50 thousand people).

Nobody knows when everything will be repaired. Fire brigades had 3500 thousand intervention within last two days. It is said that even 700 thousand of Poles have no electricity because of storms. In Gdańsk in Żabianka district, very strong wind damaged 20 parked cars. The weather is not good and according to weather forecasters it will not be better within next few days.
