Exhibition of Pole in Tate Modern in London
Mirosław Bełka will open his own exhibition in Tate Modern in London. Polish sculptor will be presenting his works within next six months in this place which is believed to be one of the most important museums in the world.
The artist will realize his project in a famous room called “the Hall of Turbines” – huge space on a ground floor level of the museum which previously owned to a power station. Artistic world has been commenting the exhibition since January but Bełka had to keep all information about it in secret.
The exhibition is a part of a huge project called “Polski Year” which is being taken place in Great Britain. There will also be seen many other projects of Polish artists like: installation titled “Bunker” of Robert Kuśmirowski (Barbican Centre, October 15th), an exhibition “Open: Poland. Architecture and Identity” prepared by Grzegorz Piątek (the Royal Institute of British Architects, October 15th) or another exhibition of modern art opened by Paulina Ołowska in Camden Arts Centre.
