According to UK’s press the London Stock Exchange (LSE) is not going to bid for shares of Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE) that undergoes privatization process.

“Financial Times”, one of the best informed economic magazines, has found out that LSE decided to pursue in the other direction.

If this decision is made official only three players will stay in this game: NASDAQ OMX, Deutsche Boerse and the New York Stock Exchange Euronext (NYSE Euronext).

This decision does not worry Polish government though. - There are still three major players that are going to bid high – said one of the officials.

According to experts the move made by LSE was not surprising, as Eastern European markets have shown they wobbliness during the crisis and buying WSE is a considerable risk, especially for the company that was struck by the crisis badly as well. However if the second of major players pull out of this game, polish government may not become as much as planned for 51 per cent of WSE shares.
