Policemen, other public sector employees and taxi drivers are going to learn English. They have to get to work straight away in order to be communicative during football European Championship in 2012 that is going to be co-hosted by Poland.

According to "Gazeta Prawna" the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration is planning to send 7.3 thousand public sector employees to English courses. Their estimated cost is 23.5 million złoty (5.4 million Euros). It is going to be financed by the EU as a part of "rising standards of public services" program.

Also all those, who will patrol the streets and secure stadiums, are going to learn English, German and Russian.
