Lower Silesian Economy and Politics Forum in Krzyżowa
This year's 11th edition of Economy and Politics Forum is going to be held from 12th to 14th November in Krzyżowa. It is going to start with a special reconciliation mass.
The event is under patronage of Sejm Speaker Bronisław Komorowski and his counterpart in German Bundestag Norbert Lammert.
The Forum itself is planned in the following way:
Thursday (12th November) is going to start with 20th anniversary of Communism's fall in Central Europe celebrations. It will conclude with a special reconciliation mass and issuing of manifesto titled "The future of Europe". The first plenary session is going to be opened with lectures made by Bronisław Komorowski and Norbert Lammert. It will be followed by cultural panel, where Bogdam Zdrojewski Minister of Culture and National Heritage and his German counterpart Bernd Neumann are going to give their speeches.
Friday (13th November) is going to be dedicated to economy. The special "Polish-German Economy Summit" under patronage of Polish Minister of Economy Waldemar Pawlak and German Minister of Economy and Technology Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg will be organized.
The last day of forum (Saturday, 14th November) will be all about regional development. The session called "Partnership of regions in EU" is going to be led by Marek Łapicki - the head of Lower Silesia Province as well as Stanisław Titlich - Prime Minister of Saxony and Christian Wulff- Prime Minister of Lower Saxony. Problem groups that discuss the most important problems concerning Lower Silesia are going to put emphasis on Polish-German relations this year.
