Tomasz Adamek can be called ‘the king of Polish boxing’ because of his fantastic win over one of the best boxers in history – Andrzej Gołota. Adamek knocked out Gołota in 5th round.

Each fighter wanted to win this prestigious fight in order to become unanimous Polish champion. Gołota was strong and more experienced while Adamek faster and more determinated. Both boxers do not like each other so they gave many impolite interviews about his opponent.

The fight of the century started at 11 p.m. in Łódź. Adamek was attacking since the beginning and showed all his best skills. It was seen that he had been training very hard before the fight. His punches were very effective and reached the target almost every time. Gołota was defending but seemed to be helpless. Adamek was too fast for Polish giant – Gołota who was knocked out in the first round. His superciliary arch started bleeding what was not helpful for him.

Next four rounds proved that Gołota’s time is over and only Adamek can be the best what he showed in fifth round hiting Gołota over 30 times. American referee decided to stop the fight what made Adamek real champion. The fighter from Gilowice is on the best way to become heavyweight champion what is his biggest dream and we know that dreams can come true.
