Well known Russian daily – “Sobiesiednik”, “Give a new life” Foundation and Russian National Post decided to help 7 years old Polish girl – Krystyna Stec ,who suffers from leukaemia. The girl and her mother live in Russia.

This horrible disease was detected on the 1st June 2009 (Children’s Day). Since that time the girl has been in Russian Clinic in Moscow, but there is one problem – her nationality. The girl is not Russian citizen what means that the federation cannot pay for her treatment. Her mother moved to Russia (Lipeic District, 400 kilometres far away from Moscow) 25 years ago but did not change her nationality. Despite of the fact that Krysia was born in Russia she is treated as a foreigner what means that she is not allowed to get free medical care. Every day costs around 13.5 thousand rouble (300 euro).

Krysia’s mother decided to change her nationality but the treatment cannot be stopped at the moment. Krysia’s treatment has been covered by “Give a new life” Foundation which was founded by two Russian actresses – Chulpan CHamatova and Dina Korzun.

In November two other institutions decided to help little girl, these were: well known Russian daily – “Sobiesiednik” and Russian National Post. “We can make the girl to be alive and have fun like other small children. We will bring her hope” – wrote the daily and appealed for help.
