Politicians, actors, people connected with culture and even normal people take part in annual collections at Polish cemeteries. All Saints Day gives them chance to collect money for renovation of old and sometimes forgotten graves.

Collected money will be allotted for saving old and valuable tombs, graves and neglected cemeteries. The most popular are collections in Cracow (Rakowicki Cemetery), Łódź (The Old Cemetery) and Warsaw (Powązki). Many famous people take part in the collection in Warsaw, like: Wojciech Młynarski, Daniel Olbryski, Piotr Adamczyk, Michał Żebrowski or Małgorzata Foremniak.

Cracow’s collection is supported by Anna Dymna, JErzy Fedorowicz or Zbigniew Wodecki. Collected money will be used for renovation 30 graves at Rakowicki Cemetery and 10 ones at Podgórski Cemetery.

Another big and important collection takes place in the capital of Polish mountains – Zakopane. Volunteers try to save The Old Cemetery in Pęksowy Brzyk, the place where are buried many famous people like: Kornel Makuszyński, Stanisław Witkiewicz or Władysław Hasior.
