Formula 1 season has ended
Abu Dhabi race has ended Formula 1 season that was really extraordinary. Big firms such as Ferrari and McLaren struggled at the beginning of the season, new team Brawn GP won constructor’s championship and we have not seen so many new drivers in years. Also a new track in Abu Dhabi made its debut.
This Formula 1 season was extraordinary. It all started with a new car’s construction and KERS system that was supposed to make F1 more spectacular. In practice most of teams decided not to use it as it turned out to be a very defensive weapon. This strategy and double diffuser construction allowed a new team Brawn GP to start with a massive advantage over competition which was big enough to let them win the title. BMW with Robert Kubica was on the other side of this equation as the car has become one of the worst in competition. For this reason along with financial problems BMW decided to quit Formula 1 and Kubica needed to look for a new employer.
He was linked with Ferrari, but in the end he is going to race for Renault next season and Fernando Alonso moved to the red Ferrari car.
Although it was a bad season for Robert Kubica, he is still considered to be one of the hottest drivers in the pit lane.
The last race was won by Sebastian Vettel and Jenson Button won driver’s championship, so he is going to be considered the fastest driver until the next season, which starts next year.
