Ukrainian president asked Poland for help
Ukrainian president – Victor Yushchenko asked Poland and many other nations for help because of A/H1N1 virus which killed 55 people. The epidemic of dangerous type of flu attacked Western part of Ukraine.
Victor Yushchenko asked for vaccines and other medical equipment needed to prevent spreading the disease. According to Ukrainian Ministry of Health, the flu has already killed 55 people what really shows that this country is in danger. Ukrainian president has sent his letters to Belarus, Hungary, Moldova, Poland, Romania, USA and the Secretary General of NATO. If Ukraine does not get this help very soon the epidemic may spread to other parts of country and other countries (for example Poland).
The virus A/H1N1 which is also called “pig’s flu” has killed thousands of people all over the world. In Poland there were several cases of this dangerous disease but fortunately without victims.
