Habsburg’s Park in Żywiec in a blaze of glory

The park which owned to Habsburg dynasty is in a blaze of glory again after one year revitalization which cost 10 million zloty (2,4 million euro).
The project was financed by the European Union, Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and also local authorities in Żywiec.
The history of this beautiful park dates back to XVIth century. First owner was Komorowski family, coat of arms – Korczak. They were given this property by Polish king – Kazimierz Warneńczyk in 1467. Next the palace with the park owned to Vasa Dynasty and then to Habsburgs. The oldest parts of this interesting place come from XVIIIth century. The park covers 26 hectares.
