Former Prime Minister: "Government of Tusk is like a shot down U2".
Grzegorz Schetyna from Civic Platform (PO) compared his party to Irish group U2. This statement was quickly used against PO. Former Prime Minister Leszek Miller said that the government is like U2 plane that was shot down by Russia.
"Talking about U2 Mr Schetyna had a band in mind. However he has forgotten that U2 is also a name of a spy plane sent to USRR by USA in 1960." Miller writes in his blog. The former Prime Minister reminded the whole story: "On 1st May 1960 a US spay plane U2 was shot down. Its pilot managed to escape death, but was taken captive by Russians. Moscow did not comment on this fact waiting for Washington's reaction. When Americans started to talk about a loss of a meteorology plane Khrushchev attacked accusing USA of aggression policy approved by US President. Eisenhower lost this battle" - he writes.
Miller concludes: "This government is like U2. Is Mr Schetyna a prophet or something?".
