Explorers Festival in Łódź
One of the biggest European festivals of mountains, nature and travelling will take place on 18th-22nd November 2009 in Łódź.
The Cinema Room of Technical University in Łódź will play host to many fantastic stars of worldwide alpinism, explorations and extreme sports. Everyone who is interested in those topics will have chance to meet with Will Steger – well know explorer of the polar regions, Józef Nyka – who is eminent alpinist and author of many guidebooks and famous photographer – Elizabeth Wald.
The festival is also time of giving two important awards: Explorer – for the best conquerors and Camera Extreme – for the best artist creating works connected with tourism, explorations and extreme sports.
The organizers prepared many attractions, like climbing contest – “We climb Mount Everest” and “The greatest geography lesson” – which should develop passion for wondering and tourism.
