Franciszek Smuda who is a coach of football national team decided to wage a campaign for talented striker – Robert Aquafresca – informs “Dziennik”.

Italian born striker is one of most talented strikers in whole Europe. However Robert Aquafresca was born in Italy, his mother is Polish what means that he can play for Polish national team. The player has already played for Italian U-23 national team, but it is still possible to change his national team, according to current rules of FIFA. The strike plays for Atalanta Bergamo (on-loan from Genoa).

Franciszek Smuda will meet Robert’s mother in order to convince her that it would be better if Robert play for Polish national team. What is more it also possible that Smuda will speak with the player (maybe via the Internet or phone), because his Polish language is good enough to speak. If Smuda is successful, Robert Aquafresca will play against Bulgaria in March 2010. The player is so important for Smuda and Polish football that even top star – Zbigniew Boniek decided to help.
