Polish TGV is going to be built in 2014
Polish government has accepted investment program for Polish fast rail. It should start in 2014. First target cities that are going to be connected this way are Warsaw, Wrocław, Łódź and Poznań.
Minister of Infrastructure said that modernizing Polish rail is going to be his priority over next two years. All rail companies will be privatized. This program follows promises made by Prime Minister Donald Tusk at the beginning of his term of office. Trains going with the speed of 300 km/h should be put in service before 2020.
First section is going to connect Warsaw, Poznań and Wroclaw. It will be around 500 kilometers long.
