Anna Maria Jopek receives warm welcome in Rome
Anna Maria Jopek has took over Italian hearts during her recital in Rome's jazz club Casa del Jazz. Her concert was a culmination point of Polish culture Festival "Corso Polonia".
Anna Maria Jopek, who is known in Italy for her records with Pat Metherny, has pleasantly surprised the audience. She had welcomed them by singing introduction about her band in Italian. Later she explained that she was going to sing in Polish presenting traditional music of her country of origin.
Audience was more and more excited after her every song. She was craftily mixing jazz arrangements of Polish folk songs with tracks from her album "Upojenie" (Elation) that she recorded with Pat Metherny.
She was supported by following musicians: Marek Napiórkowski, Paweł Dobrowolski, Robert Kubiszyn and Piotr Nazaruk. After her performance she received a very long standing ovation from excited audience
