Polish embassy in Madrid is protesting because of mistake made in Spanish newspapers. Spanish media informed about a criminal – John Demianiuk and described him as a guard in “Polish death camp in Sobibór”. “This expression offends Polish society, propagates and consolidates fake view of history of Poland and World War II” – explained Polish embassy in Madrid. After this quick intervention, most Spanish media corrected unfortunate expression. According to Polish ambassador – Ryszard Schnepf, something should be done in order to prevent similar mistakes in the future. He says that the best solution is to bring a lawsuit against those who use incorrect information about Nazi death camps built in Poland. Several days ago, German Public TV – ZDF used this expression (Polish death camp in Sobibór) while presenting programme about John Demjaniuk.
