New logo of Euro 2012 has been presented
Polish and Ukrainian sides have presented new logo of Euro 2012. The logo looks like a flower with two leaves symbolising Poland and Ukraine.
“Together we create future” (exact Polish translation) or “Creating history together” (proper English version) will be the most important sentence during the championship tournament, which starts in Poland (Warsaw) and ends in Ukraine (Kiev). The logo of Euro 2012 reminds a lower made of a ball and two leaves, first one is white and red and second one is yellow and blue. Those leaves symbolise national colours of Poland and Ukraine.
The celebration took place in Kiev, where Michael Platini, Grzegorz Lato and Hrihoryj Surkis showed new logo and presented schedule of the tournament. Also Ukrainian president – Victor Yushtschenko and Prime Minister – Julia Tymoshenko appeared in the city of final game.
“Our logo says that Poland and Ukraine can set the world of fire with fantastic organisation of the tournament,” – said Grzegorz Lato – chair of Polish Football Association.
