Within the next half a week, the politicians running in the presidential elections need to establish their campaign teams. Therefore, though still bemoaning the tragic death of their colleagues, politicians already start thinking about the elections.

Discussions about the possible candidates are appearing in both the parties of PiS (Pol. “Law and Justice”) and SLD (Pol. “Democratic Left Alliance”). The names of Jarosław Kaczyński and Włodzimierz Cimoszewicz – the former Prime Ministers of Poland – are being mentioned.

Without doubt, these elections will be unlike any other. Politicians of various political stands assert that no campaign rallies, not to mention elaborate media campaigns, will be held. Most probably, we will not see any billboards or TV spots. These basic assumptions are viewed as obvious by the politicians of PiS, PO (Pol. “Civic Platform”) or SLD.
