Police arrested a gang of truck thieves
The police smashed a gang stealing trucks in Poland and Germany. Six people were detained and three vehicles were recovered worth more than 680 thousand zloty (280 thousand Euro).
From March to August police officers from Gdańsk and Poznan, Gdynia Police Station and CBŚ (Central Investigation Bureau) arrested six truck thieves. They are at the age between 25 and 53. Against three of them a court has already applied an executive detention.
The police don't exclude that the men have several more truck thefts on their conscience.
The criminals have been active since 2007. They travelled roud our country in search of trucks parked on the unprotected park-site. Then they were waiting for the driver's abcence and they were stealing the vehicle. They resold it to a fence or if the truck was filled up with cargo they were selling it on their account.
